We came this year twice for the “Wurzelfestival” https://www.wurzelfestival.de/ , as it had several editions. We came to the first and the last one, so it was also a nice way to see how the festival vibe evolves there and also how we grow as a team, coming once in the beginning and once at the end of the summer.
We were invited to join with our circus tent, which offers us many more possibilities to create a unique space for creativity, flow and community. We were hosting the workshop space for the festival and also inviting other workshop leaders to use our tent. So we had various inspiring people coming to share the creative offers and our tent became a beautiful space for learning and community vibe.
We had workshops about yoga, meditation, breathing, art, handcrafts, Gong, flower design and of course a lot of circus and movement (acro dance, hoop/clowning, pois/juggling). In the evening we hosted cacao ceremonies, created a chilled space for people to recharge with a chai and did also the walking acts to spread our circus magic on the 4 dancefloors of the festival.

The two editions we went to, were also very different: on the one hand we grew as a team and became much more confident and experienced in our way holding the space in the tent, our cooperation became natural and we developed a good way to work and perform together. On the other hand the second time we came it was very rainy and cold so our tent became a space for the people to find shelter. We were creating a cozy environment for meeting and connecting people in our space. This was an inspiring learning for the team how to make this welcoming and hosting energy unfold in our space. We also had great fun making the walking acts around the dance floors, even during the rain having our watersuits on riding a huge inflatable duck – this performance was epic. We are very grateful for the whole Wurzelfestival-Crew, which trusted us and gave us so much support during the whole time being and made under the given circumstances a really wonderful festival happen. Looking forward to next year.
